Hello, we’re Kelvin and Belva, the founders of Tea Ducks.
Tea has been part of our lives since childhood. Today, our UK tea brand shares the whole-leaf teas we personally source, taste and select, with protective packaging included in the price.

Finding tea in the UK often brought us back to the same frustration: the quality we knew and loved was difficult to find at a reachable price.
That frustration helped shape Tea Ducks. Good loose-leaf tea should be something you can look forward to regularly, with a price that makes room for it in everyday life.
Our subscriptions start at under £10 per delivery, with free standard delivery to mainland UK. Brewing accessories come with your first subscription too, as part of the Complimentary Welcome Set.
Just as much thought goes into looking after the leaves. Double-lidded caddies and protective foil packaging help preserve the aroma and character that made us choose each tea. That protection is included in the tea’s price.
After taking such care over the selection, sending the leaves home properly protected feels like the natural thing to do.

Someone once asked us, “What equipment do I need to start brewing loose-leaf tea? And why does getting started cost so much?”
It was a fair question. Before the first cup, there could already be quite a shopping list: an infuser, somewhere to keep the leaves, then delivery on top.
Starting needed to be easier.
Your first Tea Ducks subscription includes our Complimentary Welcome Set: a stainless-steel tea infuser, a tea towel and three different 5g tea rounds. Simply choose a mug and use the infuser to enjoy your tea. The additional rounds introduce three teas different from your subscribed choice.
For delivery, the decision was simple: free standard delivery to mainland UK on every order, with no minimum spend. A single tea qualifies, whether you subscribe or buy once.
And if your plans change, you can pause, skip or cancel your subscription whenever you need.

Some of our favourite childhood memories begin with tea.
Growing up in Hong Kong, sitting down with family and friends meant a chance to settle in, talk and enjoy each other’s company. Those ordinary afternoons are the ones we still find ourselves missing.
The dream of opening a tea shop started early. Years later, Tea Ducks became a way to share something of that feeling, along with the teas we love.
Both of us remain involved in the work behind your cup: visiting farms and producers, tasting samples, choosing the collection and deciding how to protect it.
The name took a little longer.
During tea in a park, Kelvin noticed the ducks diving beneath the water for food. He wondered whether they might be looking for tea instead. Perhaps the ducks had busy days too, and needed a moment to themselves.
We laughed. Tea Ducks suddenly felt like a name we could call our own.

Behind our first collection was a year worth of travelling, visits to dozens of farms and producers, and at least 200 teas tasted across different types and grades.
Time spent with growers and tea makers helped us understand the choices behind the leaves. Visits to processing sites brought those conversations to life. Samples came back to the tasting table again and again.
Aroma, flavour, texture and finish all mattered. Each tea had to offer the character and quality we wanted to share.
Six earned their place in the first Tea Ducks collection from Yunnan and Fujian.
Perhaps you enjoy measuring loose leaves and watching them open in water. Or a compact pressed round might fit more easily into your working day or travel bag. Both formats receive the same attention during selection.
The collection is small because every tea must earn our confidence before it earns its place in your cupboard.

What we approve must match what you receive.
There is a great deal of trust in letting someone choose your tea.
The sample approved at its source becomes our reference when a larger batch arrives in the UK. Its quality and character must carry through to the tea offered to customers.
On one occasion, a delivery tasted different from the approved sample. The whole batch was rejected. Passing that difference on to customers would have broken the standard Tea Ducks was built around.
The same care goes into accepting a delivery as choosing a tea in the first place.
